David, as he was commonly known, lived voraciously for 39 years before his 12 year battle with cancer ended. This Foundation is being set up to honor his memory and as a legacy for his child. His family wants to continue to open opportunities for others as David did.
He felt that the school of life was as important as formal education. He knew that a formal education was important, but so was what could be learned by living and interacting with people from different cultures.
Those fortunate to work for him were asked to push the envelope beyond their traditional thinking. He hired people for their abilities and outlook more than what exact degree the parchment said that they attained.
As part of life’s training, David traveled extensively in the United States as well as all over the world. He visited every continent except Australia and Antarctica. David’s love for traveling and experiencing other cultures began at the age of six months when he journeyed to the island of Bermuda with his grandmother, mother, and aunt.
That trip was the start of David’s lifelong quest for experiencing all that the world had to offer. Since that experience he then had the opportunity to …
- Travel to India and learn the secrets of the Taj Mahal.
- Climb 15,000 feet to the base camp of one of the tallest mountains in the world; Mount Everest.
- Safari through Africa and conquer piranhas in Ecuador.
- Backpack through Europe and Ireland as a new college graduate.
- Dance in Spain, feast in Bali, and dine with the locals in Singapore and Hong Kong.
- Track moose in Maine and hike North into Mt Washington, Mt. Khatadin.
- He worked in Canada and all over North America; of course he, also found time to enjoy family and friend trips to Grand Canyon, Lake Sagandaga, Hawaii, and Disney World
WORK HARD, PLAY HARD

- A great storyteller.
- Human and very down-to-earth.
“David was very focused on giving back to the younger generation and this is a way to keep his dream and passion alive.”
